Defeated Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro and his family have arrived in Miami after first traveling to Argentina, according to an initial report shared online.
The move comes after Bolsonaro’s unsuccessful presidential campaign and amid continued political uncertainty in Brazil.
The family’s departure has drawn attention because of Bolsonaro’s prominent role in Brazilian politics and his ties to the country’s conservative movement.
Details about the family’s travel plans, immigration status, and intended length of stay in the United States were not immediately available.
The report has not yet been independently verified by multiple sources, and no official statement from Bolsonaro or Brazilian authorities was included. Further information is expected as officials and representatives respond.
